Who am I ?

Just a gal trying to navigate this life with love, passion and creativity.

As a Ukrainian growing up with a mother and two Babas, there is little surprise that food and entertaining are the essence of my being. I learned to cook at a young age, and that has been a theme woven throughout my adult life. I have catered on the side while having a variety of jobs. I managed the start up of Pure Kitchen, a soup & sandwich shop, as my first full-time opportunity in food & beverage. I then managed Pure Cafe at Northlands Expo Centre when the economy was good and lineups were endless. These experiences gave me the confidence to open my own café, and J’z Kitchen came to life in 2015. However, everyone in the professional building was vacating; I was presented with a job offer in property management, so I closed up shop and pivoted.

As life often does, a curveball came this spring with the expiration of my position, and I have been left wide open to get back to what I love most…making food for others. This is what I’m passionate about doing, so it’s time to create my own career again.

My offerings will include preserves, premade freezer meals, snacks, and holiday baking. I am building as I go, so check in often for new items. Please reach out to discuss catering and custom orders.

Food is the nourishment our bodies need, but gathering with family and friends around food is what nourishes our souls. I would be honoured to be a part of that at your next get-together!
